According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool and West Ham United are set to battle it out in order to land the signature of Diego Llorente. The 25 year old began his journey in the beautiful game with Real Madrid, starting off at the youth level in 2002. He was able to rise up through the ranks all the way through to 2017, but he was unable to make much of a dent in the first team picture. As a result he was sold to Real Sociedad, where he’s been able to have a lot more success. He’s been in particularly good form this season, although reports suggest that he has a buy-back clause with Real that is believed to be worth around €25 million. That could put a dagger in the hopes of both Liverpool and the Hammers, who would otherwise both fancy their chances of bringin…
Tottenham came from behind to beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 and make certain of their status as Champions League Group H winners.
Second-placed Real Madrid can match Tottenham s points tally on the final matchday of the group stages but Mauricio Pochettino s men will remain in first place regardless thanks to their superior head-to-head record over the holders, giving them hope of a favourable draw in the last 16.
Meanwhile, the results ended Dortmund s chances of qualifying for the knockout stages.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang marked his return to the Dortmund side following a club-enforced one-match suspension for disciplinary reasons by scoring the opening goal, as Peter Bosz s side sought to relieve the pressure building on the coach.
But Spurs have relishe…

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed that Fabio will leave Manchester United on loan next season.
The 21-year-old has made only one Premier League appearance this year, mainly featuring in the United reserve team.
He understands the value of playing regularly at a higher level than we can give him at the moment, Sir Alex told United Review.
I hope that Fabio will develop the same way as his twin (Rafael).
Opportunities for the young left-back have been further restricted by the form of Patrice Evra and several injuries.
His 14 appearances have come mainly in the League Cup and Champions League this season.
The Da Silva twins moved to Manchester from Fluminense (without having played in the Brazilian club s first-team) in January 2008, but w…
It was clear when the draw was completed that Group C would hog the limelight during the early stages of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
With Algeria having reached the World Cup knockout phase, many are tipping them to top the group. However, they will not have things all their own way given the wealth of competition provided by four-time champions Ghana, Senegal and 1996 winners South Africa.

Under Vahid Halilhodzic, Algeria were one of the star turns of the World Cup in Brazil in 2014. Their 4-2 win over South Korea and courageous draw in the high-stakes decider with Russia led the north African nation to the knockout rounds for the first time.
A narrow extra-time defeat by eventual winners Germany saw them leave Sou…

There have been talks during the season, but no new deal has so far been put on the table and Jordi Mestre has indicated that there wouldn t be one either.
Speaking to Sky Sports, as relayed by , the Barcelona vice-president said that they were very happy with the 31-year-old Croatia international and his contribution, and suggested that they wouldn t be offering him a new deal because he s already got one, which also implies that he wouldn t be allowed to leave eit…
Carlo Ancelotti says children have to pursue the dreams they have when asked about a comic book detailing Kylian Mbappe s love of Real Madrid in his teenage years.
In the autobiographical comic, Paris Saint-Germain superstar Mbappe recalls a visit to Los Blancos Valdebebas training ground as a 14-year-old where he met his heroes Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The publishing of the story has only exacerbated rumours Mbappe will make the move to the Spanish capital, having been the subject of an unsuccessful deadline-day bid in the previous transfer window.
Mbappe is out of contract at the end of the season and has been largely tipped with signing a pre-contract agreement with Madrid, who are top of LaLiga.
Asked about Mbappe and the comic, Ancelott…

Desperate to find some much-needed stability this weekend, Manchester City will welcome Arsenal to the Etihad on Saturday evening.
Manchester City
Starting with the hosts, eventually having to settle for a point against Premier League returners Leeds prior to the international break in what was a thrilling 1-1 draw at Elland Road, Manchester City have really struggled to find their feet since opening the 2020/2021 campaign. While Pep Guardiola s men might have marked their return to domestic duties with a 3-1 victory away at Wolves, that was the Sky Blues only win from their opening three appearances. With some in their squad likely to have still been feeling the effects of their famous 5-2 drumming at the hands of Leicester on home …
